I am writing to formally complain about the extremely disturbing and unacceptable experience my family and I had at 花蓮統茂渡假莊園 HUALIEN TOONGMAO RESORT. Our stay was completely ruined due to a massive issue with unbearable noise coming from the bathroom drain, which made it impossible to rest. Given the severity of this issue and the hotel’s failure to resolve it, I am demanding a full refund for my booking.
The Main Issue: The Bathroom Noise Nightmare
• At 11:00 PM, an incredibly loud, disturbing noise started coming from the bathroom drain every time our neighbors used their water taps.
• The noise was so intense and terrifying that it echoed through the room, making it impossible to relax.
• I immediately went to the reception to report the issue, and a staff member was sent to my room.
Hotel’s Response: No Solution, No Help
• The hotel staff recorded a video of the noise themselves, acknowledging how bad the problem was.
• However, they told me outright that nothing could be done to fix it.
• I also recorded my own video, which clearly captures how unbearable the noise was.
Severe Impact on My Family’s Stay
• At 11:30 PM, the staff entered our room to inspect the issue, waking my child and further disrupting our night.
• My wife, whose birthday we were supposed to be celebrating, was left feeling exhausted and frustrated due to the ongoing disturbances.
• The noise continued throughout the night, making sleep impossible.
Unacceptable Service & Request for Full Refund
This experience was beyond unacceptable. A hotel’s basic responsibility is to provide a quiet and comfortable environment, but instead, we were subjected to a night of relentless noise and frustration. The hotel:
1. Failed to provide a livable room due to the unbearable bathroom noise.
2. Failed to resolve the issue despite acknowledging the problem themselves.
3. Ruined our entire stay, causing us significant stress and inconvenience.
Because of this, I am demanding a full refund for my booking. I expect an immediate response confirming the refund and an acknowledgment of the serious failure in service.
